(*do love Coltrane, Dexter Gordon and a few others)Ĭlick to expand. That's a decent point.but for me the lines still blur when it comes to jazz. Would be easier to compile a list of people I love.for a sizeable jazz collection, the foundation is now built around a small selection of artists that I truly love and play and I am really particular about what I pick up these days. ![]() Not a fan of female vocalists (Billie Holiday being the exception.and Ella in very small doses)Īs a caveat I will say that I do appreciate how incredibly talented these artists are, but in my late teens and early 20's I bought up all sorts of Jazz (90's were great for CD reissues).however with time I really learned which artists I love and those I don't.and did a massive purge. Gerry Mulligan (not a fan of baritone at all) ![]() Loads.I am not a massive fan of tenor sax sound for a start, so that has an impact* ![]()
